About
Who We Are
DAV Nebraska Chapter 47 was chartered in 1983, and has gone through countless changes over the years before evolving into the veteran support and advocacy powerhouse it is today. Our incredible volunteers positively impact thousands of area disabled veterans with the help of our partner, Bellevue University. Our chapter's namesake, WWII aviator William V. Brooks, flew at Midway and the Solomon Islands and came home to spend six decades helping build the town he loved. Today Chapter 47 is more than 700 members strong, led by officers who are all disabled veterans themselves.

Support Our Mission
Bill Brooks came home from Midway and the Solomon Islands a decorated WWII aviator, then gave six decades to our community. Your donation carries his spirit forward — for disabled veterans in Bellevue and across the nation.
